X-men Origins director Gavin Hood wants Gerard Butler (300) to step into the shoes of Karl Urban after he passed on playing Creed in the new film. It's not understood why Urban left the project although personal differences are mooted. Butler is currently busy shooting Game but another high profile project would probably do him no harm.

Hood also wants Jammsbro fave, Natalie Portman to play Kayla in the film although this is strictly wish list material. I think Natalie in the tight X-men outfit would guarantee a box office hit :)
